Let's get started with SolidWorks

1. Find and have your Serial Number number handy.
Your serial number was emailed to you in an attachment from either This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

2. Software/Media
- You should have either downloaded the product from SolidWorks (see Step 3) or have received your media kit (contains 2 DVDs, a 32-bit and 64-bit version) via FedEx overnight.

3. Registration, Activation & Installation instructions

a. Go to SolidWorks Customer Portal (https://customerportal.solidworks.com) and Create a Customer Account.

b. Login to SolidWorks Customer Portal (https://customerportal.solidworks.com).

c. Register your Products.

d. Install your product.
     i. Network Instructions
     ii. Client/Standalone Instructions

e. Activate your product.
     i. Activate via the internet.
     ii. Manual activation (no internet access).

Once Activation is complete, you will receive an “Activation/Reactivation Succeeded” message confirming you have successfully activated your product.

You are ready to use SolidWorks!
